FAQ

What are the policies?

- All bookings are subject to approval. When you apply, your card will be charged.
- If not approved within 60 days, funds will be released back to your card.
- You may cancel anytime before your approval and receive a full refund.
- COVID-19 - If CDE 2021 must be postponed due to health and/or travel concerns/restrictions, the amount attendees already paid will be applied to the rescheduled trip. If guests are unable to make the new dates, they will be refunded all payments except the original $223 deposit.
- $100 to change your accommodations (subject to availability).
- All prices are listed for individual booking. Each registrant will need to apply individually.
- All payments are subject to platform processing fees of 10% + $3 per transaction.

What if I need to cancel?

- If you are approved and cannot attend, you can cancel by August 1st, 2021 and be refunded all but the initial $223 deposit.
NO refunds for any reason or cancellations after August 1st, 2021.

Where will my refund go if I lost my card?

- If the account is still open, the bank will transfer the credit to the account associated with the card, even if the card was replaced, lost, etc.

If we book separate airfare from the group, are we still able to utilize CDE's transportation to and from the airport?

CDE shuttles run 12PM-4PM. If you arrive/depart in those windows, you are accounted for. If you land early morning or late night, you must find your own transportation.

Can locals and attend CDE?

Absolutely! CDE welcomes our local Antiguan family to join in the festivities. Please note however that attending CDE, per resort policy, means staying at the resort. Per Antigua government policy, locals must be fully vaccinated to attend CDE.

Is there an events-only package for locals and other already on island?

CDE does not yet offer an events-only package, because many are on the all-inclusive resort which does not allow outside guests. We have a couple offsite events that locals and others in Antigua may join us for. The details on those are forthcoming and will be released closer to the trip. Per Antigua government policy, locals must be fully vaccinated to attend fetes, including CDE.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?

COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended, but not mandatory. Non-vaccinated guests will be required to provide evidence of a negative PCR test within three days of arrival in Antigua.

What happens if I test positive?

In the event you test positive, you unfortunately will not be able to attend. Please note that if you are unable to attend due to testing positive, it will be treated as a cancellation.

Can people travel to CDE solo? I don’t have a roommate.

Of course! Guests travel to CDE solo all the time and have an amazing time. Solo travelers may book single occupancy accommodations or be paired up with a roommate of their choice using our group chat and/or in-person pre-trip link ups.

Can I come a day earlier or stay a day later?

Yep! To stay an extra day at the resort on the front (Wednesday, October 27th) or back end (Tuesday, November 2nd) of the trip, you select the add-on ($300) for the corresponding day. CDE will then update your accommodations directly with the resort.

How does the referral program work?

CDE offers guests the opportunity to save money on their trips by putting their friends on. The process: (1) sign up for CDE, (2) create a referral code/username, (3) have your squad sign up with your code, (4) get $100 off per person that uses your code. If 5 or more people sign up with your code, take $200 off per person, up to the full cost of your trip. 10 referrals earn you a free double occupancy trip for one, not including flight). 14 referrals earn you a free double occupancy trip for one including flight. The top overall referrer gets upgraded to an overwater bungalow. CDE returners, brand partners, and first-time guests with 5+ referrals are discount eligible.

What are the VIP Events? When will the itinerary be released?

These are TBD. All events are all-inclusive of alcohol and food. They typically include pool, foam, boat, brunch, J’ouvert, and other themed parties. If we do offsite events, we have a CDE VIP section and transportation included. The itinerary with the specific themes and events etc. isn’t released until about 6 weeks prior to the trip, leaving plenty of time to shop.

What exactly is included under sightseeing, excursions, and community service?

Depends on the year but there is some sort of service event where contributions are included in your trip cost and you just show up to engage local youth (unlikely with COVID-19), donate gifts CDE has already paid for, or clean up a beach, school etc. If folks are interested, we also provide shuttles to some of Antigua’s most scenic and historic sites (Nelson’s Dockyard, Shirley Heights, and Devil’s Bridge). This is completely optional, but the cost to get there and explore is included.

What kind of liquor will be provided?

All types of liquor are a part of the all-inclusive—Rum, tequila, Whiskey, beer, wine, etc., including top shelf. It’s likely we’ll bring on Moet Hennessy as a sponsor. To be clear though, if you ONLY drink 1942, Clase Azul, or Ace of Spades, you should pack your own bottles.

Can I update my room type/roommates? Can we get two beds in our double room?

You may update your accommodation request (roommate & type) for a $100 change fee. A survey will go out as we get closer to the trip asking about bed preferences.

What happens if my roommate cancelled or never signed up?

In this instance you have a couple of options. You may choose to upgrade your room occupancy for an additional cost or identify another solo traveler from the group you would room with.

Can I see the waiver?

Yes. We will provide the waiver as we get closer to the trip.
